Emily Condie is an Artist, Writer, and Multidisciplinary Creative from Toronto, Ontario , who holds a BFA from OCAD University, with a specialization in Drawing and Painting.
Through a combination of research, material exploration and creative writing in her studio practice; Emily explores theoretical frameworks and themes of affect theory, non objective painting, memorial, loss, intuition, and sensory experiences related to memory to create physical and digital paintings.
Emily currently works as a Director Of Marketing and Emerging Arts Administrator, who is passionate about supporting creatives in promoting their work through the development of personalized marketing plans and assets like biographies, posters, graphics and videos, creating paid professional opportunities for emerging artists and designers, cultivating community art spaces, and facilitating unspoken connections between artist and audience.
As a workshop facilitator, Emily aims to teach relevant skills to emerging and established artists to support their professional practice through professional development, exploring barrier free methods of creating artwork, development of marketing support materials, creation of strategies to engage with their audience and mentorship. Her commitment and passion to helping artists thrive can be seen through the work she does in her day job and on a freelance basis.
Emily currently has work in private and corporate collections across Ontario, and is continuing to define a role for herself within the creative landscape of Toronto.
